About Eta Epsilon
The Pi Kappa Alpha International Fraternity chartered the Eta Epsilon chapter February 19, 1971. Before associated with Pike, members were apart of a local social fraternity called Phi Sigma. Once Phi Sigma became large enough, brothers wanted to pursue a charter from a large, national, IFC fraternity. It so happens that the late Dr. William O’Zee, who was a Pike in his undergraduate years, was the Dean of Student Life for Angelo State at the time of Phi Sigma's search for a national charter. Dr. O’Zee helped the brothers of Phi Sigma through their chartering term and is credited with helping establish the Eta Epsilon chapter. Since chartering, one man, Rick McKinney, has given his all to Eta Epsilon since its existence as a chapter and has dedicated himself to help young men become successful in all their endeavours. Rick has alos been chapter advisor since the beginning of Eta Epsilon.
During the Fall 2015 semester, Eta Epsilon inititated its 1000th member within the Gamma Tua new member class.
As Eta Epsilon approach our 45th year as a chapter we look forward to the future, and welcome any challenges that may come with it, for it is with an open mind and a strong heart that we have overcome obstacles before, and we shall do the same time and time again.
